My name is Peggy Chan. I’m a certified professional coach and Reiki practitioner based in New York City.
I have over a decade of professional experience as a lawyer and a policymaker in family law and juvenile justice. Early on in my career, I came to realize that my legal training, grounded in an adversarial system, is inadequate in addressing the social and economic issues that confront historically disempowered populations. To me, there is an imbalance in the way our society and western medicine address conflicts and trauma, and I believe in a more compassionate and holistic approach to healing our wounds.
My curiosity and passion for collective well-being and deeper human connection led to my own path of self-discovery. Through movements, meditation, and energy healing, I explored my identity and consciousness, and began to experience shifts in my energy, thought patterns, and access to my intuition. This marked the beginning of a spiritual journey that would take me to the high Andes in South America and the jungle in Asia, learning about indigenous practices and working with plant medicine.
I work with individuals, groups, and organizations to support them on their journey to transformation, so that they can show up in the world to fulfill their highest potential. I merge coaching, energy healing, and shamanic practices into customized experiences.
I am a certified professional coach through Coaching for Transformation, and completed my Reiki levels 1, 2 and Master level training with Joanna Crespo at the New York Open Center. Click here to see my offerings.
