Reiki is the universal life source energy that is behind all of life. Although it is “unseen,” we can feel it within and all around us. Comprised of two Japanese words, Rei means “higher power” and Ki translates into “life source energy.”

In the West, Reiki is commonly associated with hands-on healing that helps to unblock energy flow and restore health and well-being, and it is becoming increasingly popular in hospitals, spas, yoga studios, and other places of healing. Reiki has the ability to detoxify, cleanse, balance, soothe and vitalize the energetic body, creating shifts on all levels – the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.

While Reiki is an effective modality of hands-on healing, it is so much more than that.

​

Before we support others by sending them Reiki, we first work on ourselves, so that we can become a clear channel for this divine source. Reiki energy innately operates on a constant high vibration, harmonizing and purifying each person it touches. Reiki guides us back to alignment, balance, and peace that is our natural state. When we practice Reiki on ourselves, we create space for our own healing. When we embody Reiki in our view, speech, and conduct, we become a healing presence in our interactions with all our relations. When we cultivate a deep connection with Reiki in our internal world, we begin to experience shifts in our external world.

In this Level One Training, you will be attuned to Reiki, enhancing your connection with the universal energy, and amplifying your natural ability to receive, focus and transmit Reiki. You will also learn the basic protocols to practice Reiki on yourself as an act of self-love and compassion and to give Reiki chair sessions to friends and family, as well as other ways to incorporate Reiki into your daily life. The purpose of Level One: The Awakening is for you to begin your lifelong journey with Reiki and to awaken to your true self.

In the Level One virtual training, you will receive:

• The Reiki history

• The Reiki precepts

• Reiki attunements

• Intention setting

• Grounding techniques

• The fundamental hand placements for treating yourself (Reiki self-care)

• The protocol for conducting chair sessions for friends/family

• Techniques to clear your space and your aura

• The foundations of the chakra system

• Practices to cultivate your intuition

• Meditation, drum journeying, and sound healing

In addition to the live virtual training, you will receive:

• A 45-minute virtual Reiki session and check-in after the training (a $111 value)

​

You will receive the Level One Reiki Certification once you complete your assigned homework.
